1.
Intro 01:21
I have no sympathy; your dreams mean nothing to me.
2.
With one last breath I cried, "Please save me". You stared straight into my bloodshot eyes and ignored my dying plea. And I have learned heartache is an inevitable tragedy. So look me in the eyes and say that this is how you wanted things to be. You've got my heart in your hand, and now I'll bury everything I've come to know. Your apologies can't fix anything, so leave your roses at the door. Your dreams no longer mean anything to me. (that's just the way things are) I have no sympathy, your dreams no longer mean a thing to me. Now it's time to let all of this die. Now that you're out of my life, let's turn the page. My favorite lie was when you said we would stay together. The sun has set on the day you swore would last forever.
3.
You poisoned your path and the edges of my glass But I will never drink from it again Separate these waves, spread them out to crash Their collapse caused the gallows' end Fill this hole where your heart should be I've been sick and cluttered from these shots and stabs we've stuttered Come awake from inside; the blood screams and lies Come awake from inside, your torture only bought us time With every breath in your blackened lungs You're only suffocating yourself The cold space where we left The vines wrap around your wrists The tension of the wolf's kiss scars This fanged release has never felt quite like this I watched you scorn yourself in hypocrisy and silence I felt you break us in this harm, bloodshed and violence The crack of your whip burnt a thousand times over And hatred through these scars shall always grow stronger Stare into these bloodshoot eyes and I will watch (watch) watch (watch) as you fall My own heart needs this now as you lie (lie) lie (lie) yourself in your own grave
4.
I'VE BEEN TO HELL AND BACK can't you see it in my eyes? I stand before you a broken, tattered man. With wounds so deep, these scars will never fade away. These are my curses; these are my stories. And in the end, the deepest wound lies within my soul. The man before you is not whom he used to be. If only you could see behind these eyes, you'd see the real me. Mankind will never know the meaning of the word "love". Inabilities to share our heart or our soul. A bitter cold rush pulsates through my veins. You can't love the loathsome if you can't love at all. You could never stay by my side. (You could never paint futile pictures of your love.) Was it so easy letting go of what we had? These are my curses; these are my stories. You still haunt me. So bury me in my shallow grave, but deep enough so I can never be saved.
5.
The shadows cast over everything that we once knew. Blurring out the faces of the ones we loved. This place is not my home. So may promises but not a single one was kept. The noose is tightened, could end it all in just one step. This place is not my home. Can't wait til' the day you come crawling back And I reject everything you've become. Your empty words used to mean so much more. You were my identity, your voice was comfort; it calmed the storm. But this ship will no longer be swayed by the waves of your insecurities. Once a sinking vessel anchored in what's right for me, and no longer in our memories. This place is not my home. If I never find my face, the scars will never leave from this place.
